GREEN TARA JADE Healing Stones
Green Tara is known by many names and myths. In Tibet she is called “Dölma”, She Who Saves. Her primary function is that of Savioress. She is believed to have helped many overcome dangers, fears and anxieties when they call upon her assistance. This goddess is especially worshipped for her ability to overcome the most difficult of situations with grace and ease. In Buddhist tradition, Tara is actually much greater than a Goddess, She is a female Buddha, an enlightened one who takes human form ‘As The goddess of universal compassion in action’. Green Tara represents virtuous and enlightened action. It is told that her compassion for living beings is stronger than a mother's love for her children. She protects earthly travel and guards her followers on their spiritual journey to enlightenment. Green Tara filled with youthful vigor, is a goddess of activity. She is the fiercer form of white Tara. Green Tara is intensely compassionate and acts quickly to help those who call upon her. Tara, whose name means “star” or “she who ferries across,” is a Bodhisattva of ‘compassion in action’ manifested In female form. She is associated with the color green.
Jade is a stone of the heart. It is also a stone of fidelity and generosity. Inca Green Jade is a classic abundance stone. It represents the flow of Divine energy into the realm of matter. It represents harmony and happiness in business and family and is an excellent stone to use in one’s office or home to promote harmony. Jade symbolized the five virtues of humanity: wisdom, compassion, justice, modesty and courage. Green Jade is a stone ‘with a great heart for healing’.
